CMFE is with the Austrian community media training and research organisation COMMIT, working on a new 2-year European project called 'E3J' for short, with RSF, Free Press Unlimited and CoPEAM. The European Excellence Exchange in Journalism (E3J) aims to unleash the combined potential of European values and cross-border collaboration for better journalism and, as a result, a better informed polity. It provides a single-entry point for all types of media organisations, networks and individuals to connect, based on mutual trust and common rules.
Right now we – CMFE and COMMIT - are finalising research on Public Health, Media Literacy and community media in Spain, Austria, Ireland and Denmark, and will in the new year offer some competitive production grants in these four countries. More later.
